Commander of the LORD's army!

I just received a letter from a friend and it was rather uplifting!  With just a pinch of his wisdom coupled with a handful of discipline would surely produce an abundant harvest in a Kingdom Man.  Prayerfully I can become more of the man God has intended for me to be in the not so distant future.  Laura and I have been busy working on curriculum for our new teaching series "Man School" while getting Kingdom Roof and Fence off of the ground.  Our relationship with each other and the equal lateral triangle between the Lord and us both has been well balanced.  We've learned during the holiday season that there's more pleasure in being a blessing rather than receiving a blessing.

Christmas was a blast as we were able to complete almost 400 homes in addition to a few commercial projects.  That has really catapulted us into another orbit financially and concerning our market presence and brand recognition.  Humbly we note that "Kingdom" is now listed on the first page of Google in our area.  Our protege however was only able to fly with us for a few weeks before he lost altitude and descended off of our radar.  I personally take responsibility since he did inform me that he wasn't sure if he was ready to assume a normal work schedule.  Our profession is very demanding and can push anyone over the edge so it isn't exactly the best stepping stone towards workplace reentry.  We pray that he receives peace and prosperity through the knowledge he gained during his time with us as we think of him often.

We went to visit my buddy Craig and Mallory Wallace over the holidays that works in the wood business and they're still doing well. We ate brisket, chose our white elephant gifts and shared a laugh or two about our unforgettable life experiences around a campfire.  It's always a real pleasure for me to unplug from my everyday life for a moment to surround myself with people that are truly my friends without an ulterior motive.  Craig lives on 1,500 acres of land in the Tyler Texas area so being out in the country around the livestock and praying with the "Mighty Men" has served to be a vacation for my soul.  It's times like those Laura and I find strength and vision for our future.

As far as my personal walk with Christ right now, I have been thinking about the Commander of the LORD's army that Joshua met on the way to Jericho.  He asked him, "Are you a friend or foe?" and he responded, "Neither one."  This is very similar to the "burning bush" moment Moses had with God before finding the courage to return to Egypt.  Many people think Moses had a stuttering problem but Stephen remembered Moses as powerful in both speech and actions.  This moment has captured my thoughts recently as I shared this that Sunday morning on the ranch.  I understand the dynamic between being a situational leader (Moses) and being a natural born leader. (Joshua).  Better said, the character difference of needing to be told "when to lead" (Moses) or having to learn "when not to lead" in a situation. (Joshua).  I can also appreciate the encouragement of the natural born leader being told to be "strong and courageous" as there were 31 kings that were needing to be defeated before Gods people would receive their choice portion of the promise land.  Lastly I've been illuminated with Reuben, Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh as they already had received their rest but came out of their rest and assisted the other tribes in getting their rest before they could return back to their rest.

I could talk for hours there but the Commander of the LORD's army has me thinking.  Joshua who had just circumcised an entire nation with a flint knife under the Lords still, silent voice of guidance was a miracle.  Any reasonable man would have requested a few more signs before going forward with that one in my opinion. :)  Leading the Ark of the Covenant across the Jordan towards the promise land as the water was parted once again was unthinkable! (like Moses)  The part that escaped my understanding was how after Joshua had followed God's commands past "normal thinking" he was still considered to be "neither" a friend or a foe to the Commander of the LORD's army. Obviously our good deeds are but "filthy rags" and are "counted as dung" in the eyes of the Lord.  Joshua fell to the ground in reverence and asked, "What do you want your servant to do." Like Exodus 3:5, he was instructed to take off his sandals because he was standing on holy ground.

Taking off your sandals and shaking the dust from a town from your sandals represented the past, what you've done, where you've been or where you came from.  It's a correlation simply put as "not bringing your past into your future."  The Lord creates all things new again and again.  A new day, a new way of thinking, a new life to live, a new opportunity to take advantage of, a new message from God with a new fire that's burning inside of us right now.  What it must be like to be a real soldier in the LORD's army!  We must not reflect on whether we're friends or foes but rather find the holy ground between us and God and seek to follow his commandment which is to love.

Red Tips by Kingdom Christmas Lights

"Red Tips" by Kingdom Christmas Lights

Kingdom Christmas Lights is your local Christmas light installation contractor in the Houston Texas area and we specialize in custom holiday decorations.  Sure, there are many fly by night handymen that will put up your store bought lights for you but not many have the skill and expertise to custom make Christmas light strings to your home.  With Kingdom Christmas Lights, you'll have a decorative solution that shows off the elevations of your home while offering you full ownership of the lighting at the end of the season.  This is one of the many reasons why KCL is the obvious choice for holiday lighting.

Now that we're on the topic of lighting, have you ever done research on the quality of LED bulbs?  There's always a new and improved LED that's as about as frequent as the new iPhone's that come out.  It seems like every year there's something new and you're left with yesterdays technology while the neighbors have the best.  That would happen with us because Kingdom Christmas Lights only uses the best LED lighting available in our marketplace.  Today we're offering the SMD LED which is 40% brighter than last years LED bulbs and will have your home looking great for years to come.  These bulbs have a minimum lifespan of at least 5 years and the entire display typically uses less electricity than 2 incandescent light bulbs.

The color selections can also set your decoration designs apart as Kingdom Christmas Lights has mastered the art of making each home look as beautiful as possible.  Check out this "red tip" design which puts a red bulb at the top of every peak and one coming down on each side.  Kingdom started this 3 years ago and it's catching on fast.  Due to the individuality concerns that most of our clients have, we try to only give one person in a neighborhood or section of a neighborhood the same design.  See for yourself how great a color change in certain areas can really make a difference.

If you're looking to get a free estimate for Kingdom Christmas Lights, all you have to do is give us a call at 346-291-4492 and we'll give you a quote right over the phone.  Our sales process is and has always been by the foot so you can rest assured that you'll only pay for what you use.  Another great feature that we would like to highlight is the fact that ever new decoration that purchased through us is warrantied until Christmas of the year that they were installed.  This means that you won't have a single worry about a bulb going out of a clip becoming unattached.  You deserve to have the best lights this year so call Kingdom Christmas Lights and let's get it done right!  You can also visit us online at kingdomchristmaslights.com to get more information about our services.

Commercial Christmas Light Installation with Kingdom Christmas Lights 346-291-4492

Commercial HOA Christmas Contractor

Kingdom Christmas Lights

Custom commercial Christmas light installation projects is our specialty and doing what no other contractor can is a normal day for our professionals.  Above and beside these words you'll see a wreath going being measured around an HOA property sign.  This is a fabrication project that was formed to fit these signs throughout the neighborhood exactly to measurements.  Imagine for a second how a traditional circle wreath obstructed the sign and focal point of this community.  After our work, it was the best project that had ever been done and every year gets better!

Let's explore why our company is separated from the competition and it's a good decision to do business with us.  First we would like to highlight the purchase program that allows our customers to buy the lighting from us directly.  This option allows you to have ownership of the decorations which will leave your business with only an installation and removal price the following years.  For example, a $15,000 display will look great the first year with either plan but year two will look better with us because the addition of new materials inside of your budget.  If you consider the typical lease option that most commercial Christmas companies offer, you will NOT OWN anything after 3 years and have spent $45,000.  Forward think with the best and let's begin a relationship that will last forever.

Call Kingdom Christmas Lights at 346-291-4492 to schedule your free consultation today and let's make this holiday season the best ever!  We service the entire Houston Texas area and we're looking forward to meeting you in person.  May the Lord receive all of the glory through our efforts.

Houston Fence Contractor - Kingdom Roof and Fence - 346-291-4492

Kingdom Roof and Fence is a roofing and fencing contractor in the Houston area located in Richmond, TX.  It's been an amazing experience helping our clients get the best available fence fit into their budget. Our continued goal is to keep providing the best fence solutions for our clients and their friends and family.  Here's a few things that you should consider before making a decision on replacing your fence.

Fence Posts

Choosing what type of fence posts is very important because without a post, your fence will be laying on the ground.  The two typical fence post selections on wood fencing are wood posts and metal posts.  Builder grade fences are installed with wood posts which require the concrete to come up to your ground level.  Often times these wood 4x4 fence posts have two distinct flaws.  The first is that the water from a rain saturates the bottom of the posts and begins the rotting process. This is the number one cause of a wooden fence post breaking at the bottom.  Secondly, the wooden fence post do not make a very good support for a gate which is a pain and an embarrassment to open for you or your guests after less than a year.

We would like to recommend that your fence is built with metal fence posts. These posts will have the most important structure of your fence secure for life!  This includes windstorms, flooding, freezing, animal abuse and children's horseplay.  With your metal post installation, you can rest easy that your next home project will not be a fence repair.  We also would like to point out the benefits of using metal fence posts for your gate construction.  Metal brackets that hold up your gate are much stronger and can easily be adjusted to the post compared to a traditional wood post.

Next we would like to highlight a quality issue that our potential clients are often unaware of, the removal of existing posts and the installation of the new ones.  Most contractors make the predictable corner cutting or sawing off the existing posts and then setting the new posts a few inches to a foot away.  This process will leave uneven sections and wasted materials in addition to unsupported corners.  Another area of interest is the application of the concrete.  You'll see many fly by night contractors pour concrete mix inside of a hole and then pour water into the same hole for mixing.  This will NEVER set correctly and no matter how much you attempt to mix it up with a stick.

Kingdom Roof and Fence removes all of the concrete from each existing post, set's the 6' fence posts at exactly 8' apart and the 8' fence posts at exactly 6' apart.  The difference is very noticeable once you can see the final product and it's too expensive to do it again.  We also mix our concrete in a bucket or wheel barrel correctly before pouring it into the holes to set the posts.  These are two steps of the fence building process that will separate your fence from the competition and leave you feeling proud at the conclusion of the project.

Fence Options

Here's the cosmetic appearances that serve multiple purposes to your new fence.  We're going to highlight both the options and their structural significance to your new fence.  Below you'll see a detailed description of pickets, kick board, trim pieces and gates.

Pickets - Pressure treated pine is a great option but the cedar pickets are the obvious upgrade.  The harder wood (pine) will prevent moisture from saturating into it but it cracks easily after an extended period of time for the same reasons.  The cedar fence pickets is a softer wood and doesn't warp or deteriorate as easy.  This softer wood is a better choice for your fence and when protected by a stain or sealant will last much longer and look much better.  We also offer clean cedar which has no imperfections

Kick Board - This option is (also referred to as the rot board) a pressure treated pine 2x6 that is installed at the bottom of your fence.  This option elevates your pickets 3'' off of the ground and prevents "wicking."  Like a candle wick, your fence pickets start grabbing water from the bottom and then the rotting process begins.  Take a look at any old fence picket and this evidence will become apparent.  Another great feature of installing the kick board, it will prevent your pickets from being damaged by weed eaters.  Consider this option which will protect your fence long term more than any other addition.

Trim Pieces - Most fences have a 1x4 trim piece at the top that covers up your pickets and makes your fence look beautiful.  This top trim board is essential for a straight fence and protects the top of your pickets from splitting and warping. A 1x2 trim piece in addition to the 1x4 at the top of your fence is known as "double trim."  This looks great and is typically used with a "top cap" which is a 2x6 or 2x8 cedar board.  These modifications can be made later after the fence is built or will be added at the time of your new fence installation.

Gates - This is the gateway into your property and the focal point of most fences.  When it comes to gates, they really separate the men from the boys besides the division of your front and back yard.  Our pride and joy are 6' gates cut out of 8' fences.  Gates should be constructed with a 3 hinge system and on a supporting post or posts that are less than two feet apart.  Kingdom Roof and Fence build every fence and guarantee them for 3 years.  This means that they will open and close like the day they were made years later.
